Created on August 30, 2018, Visionaria was originally called “No Sleep” because I started making this while sleep-deprived. It is one of my earlier examples of "power electro" music, with progressive house influences.

The idea was to create something sleepy and distorted to symbolise the bad side of sleep deprivation in a musically appealing way. It was finished the next day. In 2018 I considered this the best track I ever made until Ecstatica in 2019.

The cover art features Robin, a fictitious fox who first appears in Enjoy the Ride (the single)'s cover art. He enjoys tinkering with technology and made his own virtual reality glasses of the same name, to counter what he believes are the "destructive" virtual reality headsets the other foxes in the Gamer Legion of Hasty Foxes (GLHF) use.

On November 10, 2018, I decided I didn’t like the title of it, so I renamed it to “Brave New World”. I name my tracks to fit the music, and when listening to this, my imagination drifted to imagery of a futuristic city where everyone’s constantly on “happy pills” and dazed out, which sounded like Aldous Huxley’s novel “Brave New World”.

On January 13, 2022, it was renamed again to “Visionaria” and themed after a fictitious set of augmented reality glasses, before having its chord progressions and melodies changed significantly. It’s also 3 minutes shorter and has improved mastering.

Visionaria is my 57th finished track and 73rd release! Let me know what you think on Mastodon, or via email!
