Started on November 22, 2019 but only recently finished, this drum and bass track was made to honour nature's little thieves: the humble raccoon! The mask-wearing hand-washing bandits of nature. One of my favourite animals, colloquially called "trash pandas", I felt such sneaky animals deserve a fast-paced track symbolising stealthy midnight raids on trash cans in a musical way, so I channelled my inner raccoon and made this. I have an obsession with raccoons as of recently, which lead to me making this track about them.

The beginnings of this track come from me not knowing what melody to write in GarageBand's Musical Typing, where the keys on your keyboard (a computer keyboard, not a piano keyboard) correspond to a note. Out of boredom, I wanted to see what the word "KEYBOARD" sounded like. The letters B and R hide the track plane and start recording, respectively, so I was left with "KEYOAD". Typing that lead to the recurring melody you hear throughout this track. Coupled with the instrument too, it just screams "raccoons". There's even a bassoon sound I added which I called the "Bassoon for the Raccoon".

A funnier, holiday-themed sequel to this, called "Trash FROM the Trash Panda", was released on December 7th, 2020: moule.bandcamp.com/track/trash-from-the-trash-panda. An anti-NFT track called "Non-Fungible Trash for the Non-Fungible Trash Panda" was released on January 22, 2022: moule.bandcamp.com/track/non-fungible-trash-for-the-non-fungible-trash-panda. I plan to put all these in a Trash-Panda-themed album!

I hope you enjoy this short but fun drum and bass track I made. I'm quite proud of the cover art I made for this too; it's my style of cartoon animal art which I make all the time, but it's only recently I felt comfortable with sharing it to the world. Enjoy!
