Time Flies (2020)

"Time Flies" was made on May 31, 2019. Like most of my tracks, it started when I was messing around with distortion plugins, and I ended up making this UK hardcore / hardstyle / gabber / breakbeat / rave-y sort of beat. I decided to follow through with this theme, with what I consider an "old-school, drum and bass, breakbeat" sort of direction I wanted to build off of that beat, and I ended up making this. I do have a liking towards counterculture / street art / "punk" culture, so I made this track with that sort of aesthetic in mind and feel I did it very well.

Time Flies does have a sort of element of nostalgia to it; when I listen to it, I see a panorama film of an industrial port city on a rainy day, fast-forwarded, going through many days in minutes and showing new buildings built. That gave me the idea to name this "Time Flies".
