The Winner's Softlock

Soundtracking an annoying softlock in one of OpDaMyZr's games where he gets billions in treasures but can't escape the level to spend them! One of many tracks in the GLHF album.

The Winner's Softlock soundtracks an infuriating glitch in Casino Run 2, a game that's the frequent target of OpDaMyZr's speedruns. He often gets billions of coins and gems in the first bonus level due to faulty programming, where the slot machine keeps spitting them out and he's unable to skip the cutscene or continue playing, so he's "softlocked" in that regard. Could he continue playing, he would've easily smashed his Casino Run 2 speedrun record by buying all the expensive stuff instantly!

OpDaMyZr calls it "The Winner's Softlock" and he talks about it on the MOULE WORLD Mastodon server: mastodon.moule.world/@OpDaMyZr/111522378808742006

As for the track itself, it began production on October 12, 2017 during a surge of creativity, and went under several name changes such as "New Squirrelled Order" and "Unnatural Selection". It was mastered in early December 2023 and I think I did an okay job on it. I can definitely hear subtle changes in how my style went from more free-flowing to more structured over time.

It's my 102nd release and 35th "finished" one (back when I considered the unmastered version "finished")!
