This track takes place simultaneously with Smellody, after the events of my previous release Hoodie Rave (moule.bandcamp.com/track/hoodie-rave), and is released alongside Smellody as part of the Smellville and Smellody EP. Melville and Melody have finished setting up their aromatherapy store, called Smellville. Being a skunk, Melville was teased in school with bad skunk stereotypes and called "Smellville" as an insult, but he's taken the name back for his own anti-stink store! Unlike most aromatherapy stores, you can get some oddly-specific smells you won't find anywhere else, such as the smell of freshly-cut grass, petrichor, new car smell, and newly-opened boxes!

Smellville was created on January 7, 2016 as "Crystal", and was meant to be the successor to Indigo, back when I was reading about the new-age concept of "indigo" and "crystal" children. It was finished sometime in 2018 as an over-10-minutes-long track, later remastered and shortened to 5:45 minutes in March 2023. It is my 72nd finished track and 85th track release.

Shoutout to Limnetic Villains on Twitter for suggesting "rain smell", petrol", "cut grass", "the circus", "airport tarmac", "new car", and "fresh magazine" for some smells for the bottles!
