Quokkium was created on August 21, 2022 and finished on October 21, 2022. It's gonna be the second track of another album I've got in the works soundtracking the adventures of the Space Quokkas!

This track takes place directly after the events of my previous release Rottnest Island (moule.bandcamp.com/track/rottnest-island), soundtracking the discovery made by Catherine, a physicist quokka, Armstrong, who want's to be Rottnest Island's first Space Quokka, and Geordie, a chemistry quokka. After numerous attempts, they've finally synthesised Quokkium - the world's happiest element - and are gonna use it to build and launch their Quokkaships and Happiness Satellites to broadcast positive vibes 24/7 worldwide!!

Other facts about Quokkium:

  • Quokkium's chemical symbol is "Qk".
  • Catherine, Armstrong, and Geordie were named after beaches on Rottnest Island: Catherine Bay, Little Armstrong Bay, and Geordie Bay, respectively. (So was Wilson, named after Wilson Bay, from my previous release Rottnest Island.)
  • Quokkium was inspired a lot by deadmau5' music, namely "Polaris" and "Get in the October Cart, Pig", as well as Eric Prydz' famous track "Opus". I love how energising music is when it starts off slow and gets faster, introducing more dramatic elements as it goes along!
  • Quokkium is my 82nd release and 161st finished track, meaning I've released over half the tracks I've finished so far!
