This track was created on January 5, 2020, originally titled "Monsters". It was almost complete until late 2020 when I added glitched-out versions of three tracks for glitch effects, and finished on December 6, 2023 when I changed the beat and made a few EQ tweaks.
Leading up to the release of the GLHF album next week on Saturday, 6/15/24 (the top 3 GLHF players' numbers!), it soundtracks how the speedrunner OpDaMyZr and the combat fox PWNZR have a bitter relationship that spoils the dynamic of the team as one thinks they're better than the other. This is reflected in this tune's sorrowful yet combative glitchy melodies.
Further edits were planned but I thought this track sounded good enough as it was. Got it distributed to stores 6 months ago, making this my most planned-out release so far. My inspirations for this track include TheFatRat and Martin Garrix!
The track's title has a double meaning: it comes from the meme "No Items, Fox Only, Final Destination", a phrase associated with "serious" gamers from the Super Smash Bros. Melee community, while also doubling for OpDaMyZr and PWNZR's desire for a fight in real life, fox-to-fox, without items. Poor Strattzr always had to step in to stop them fighting!
Also, if you listen closely, you can hear glitched out versions of three of my former releases "Halcyon", "Citadel", and "Trash FROM the Trash Panda", which were chopped up, transposed up and down, and used for this track's glitch effect sounds.
It's my 180th finished track. I hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think on the Fediverse by tagging me @MOULE@moule.world, or get in contact via email!
