Indigo

For my sixth track released from the recesses of my computer's hard drive of completed music, I present Indigo!

Indigo (2020)

This is one of my personal favourites, since it started WAAAY back on January 3, 2016, making this the third most oldest track I've ever completed. At the time I was so excited with what I've made, I considered this my first "real" track.

I remember exploring New Age ideas back in 2016, such as "indigo children", the idea that some children are born with certain "spiritual" gifts. I also have synesthesia, which is where one sense stimulates another. For example, I heard this track I was making and thought it "sounded like the colour indigo". Even to this day, this track STILL sounds like that colour to me! Because I like to title my tracks about the dominating idea on my mind that comes when I first hear it complete, "Indigo" was the perfect name.

I took to GarageBand in a flutter of inspiration and produce this almost overnight. I also tried a challenge at the time where I stayed awake for over 30 hours and this was produced in the middle of it. (My new record is 48 hours, by the way!)

My mother finds this to be her favourite track that I made, and a sibling told me it "sounds like something you'd hear in a Balinese nightclub".

Also: I updated its cover art on 30 June 2021! What do you think?
