FOXR Sleep Mode

The final track in the GLHF album is creepy electronic noise about the Bugs and other rogue AI malware creeping into FOXR virtual reality headsets while in sleep mode!

FOXR Sleep Mode started on October 9, 2022 under the title "FOXR Delta Mode" – there were originally gonna be five tracks about FOXR "modes" named after brainwave states, shortened to just this for simplicity. It was made while messing around in GarageBand trying to make something creepy using only a single audio region, with lots of data like reverb, delay etc changing as the track plays on. Over the years I've gained a fondness for creepy-sounding tracks, or tracks that start off happy-sounding then become more creepier towards the end.

FOXR Sleep Mode soundtracks the Bugs' continued influence across the MOULE WORLD, showing that while the GLHF foxes sleep, their FOXR headsets are downloading some incredibly creepy updates they're not aware of. It's been discovered by the Cyber Threat Resistance League (CTRL) that presence of Bugs and other rogue AIs happen deep at night, and could also be the reason why Super Sky automatically boots everyone off the platform when it's nighttime. CTRL will do more investigation about the bugs appearing in FOXR, as they have done with Robin's Visionaria AR glasses.

As for the cover artwork, it was very easy to make since I had done most of the work when making FOXR's cover artwork, so I imported the designs from that into a new Assembly file and made it as minimal and creepy as possible, such as adding spiders symbolising the Bugs creeping into devices and uncanny lettering inspired by AI-generated images of words. I originally wanted a black and orange colour scheme, but ended up settling with a black and green one since it better symbolises cyberspace and also night vision, emphasising the night-theme of this track.
