Fediverse was created on March 18, 2023 and finished on May 30, 2023.

Originally called "Federated", this track soundtracks the decentralised social server network of the same name. I joined the Fediverse via mas.to on November 8, 2022 during the "Twitter exodus" that happened then, and quickly fell in love with it and its accessible, wholesome culture, even making my own Mastodon server!

I channeled my love for the Fediverse in this track when I first heard about Fedivision, a music contest for everyone in the Fediverse to participate in. It has a lot of bleepy-bloopy sounds symbolising federated data, and also its generally bubbly culture. It seems appropriate to make a Fediverse-themed track for a Fediverse-hosted music competition!

This track was also made to help spread awareness of the Fediverse and its benefits, encouraging more people to sign up to a Fediverse server or even make their own. I encourage everyone to join a Fediverse server if you haven't already. There's no algorithms, no ads, no centralisation, and most servers have strict moderation policies against hate speech and bigotry. There's some really cool people there too! I recommend reading fedi.tips for more info.
