Ecstatica is the best track I made in 2019. It's another track created after playing with new sounds in GarageBand, like Citadel, We're the Same Species, and Department of Transformation were.
Ecstatica is a happy hardcore track made in one sitting after waking up in a hot midnight in November 2, 2019 (believe me; it's HOT in Australia during this time). It's my 38th release and 105th track.
Right after finishing Citadel, I typed in Ecstatica's melody in Citadel's project file, then brought it into it's own file and expanded on it. The melody was originally written in C Major and the tempo was 144 BPM, but I decided to speed it up to 168 BPM and change the key to E Major to make something a lot more happier-sounding. I ended up finishing the entire track in just two hours and then crashed back to sleep. I still can't believe I made something this good, but I did!
I recorded my iPad's screen while designing this cover art using the app "Assembly". Because some people are curious as to how I make my cover arts, I uploaded a time-lapse of this cover art's creation to my YouTube channel here: youtu.be/tWaUugJz1lg
Ever since I discovered hard trance / gabber / other types of "rave" music in 2008, I've ALWAYS wanted to make music like this, but I didn't know how to. Over 11 years later, I finally did it, and it's called Ecstatica. Enjoy!!
