Audio's Amigos was created and finished in early October 2022. Every year I like to release a new release to celebrate the spooky season: 2020's theme was astrology and the lethal side of cute animals, 2021's theme was vampires, and 2022's theme is Day of the Dead - a Mexican holiday honouring the lives of deceased loved ones. It was released on October 28 in time for both Halloween on October 31 and Day of the Dead on November 2.

The title "Audio's Amigos" was one of my earliest entries I came up with in my list of titles for future tracks I started back in 2015, and I think this is the perfect track to finally use it. It's a double meaning on the Spanish "adios amigos", meaning "goodbye friends" (perfect for Day of the Dead), while also describing lovers of music.

The track is very different to what I usually make - further expanding my range of styles and stubborn eclecticism, this track uses lots of acoustic guitar melodies along with distinctive percussive and trumpet melodies with an electronic twist to them. The middle part is my favourite as the echos and wind howling sounds common in Halloween soundtracks integrate with the guitar melodies common in Day of the Dead soundtracks.

The cover art was made in Assembly and is my attempt at the Day of the Dead aesthetic which I really like. From left-to-right, the characters are skeletal versions of my characters Ecstatica, Tom (A.K.A. "California Grizzly"), and Melody. The background consists of jagged mountains reflected by a lake which cleverly makes it appear like an audio wave.
