Happy Christmas Eve everyone! The North-Pole-themed "Arctic" has finally been released just in time for Christmas! This track features Brook, she's an Alaskan Malamute who is a ski instructor!

Other facts about Arctic:

  • The track originally sounded sadder, tuned to C Major and named "Second World Problems" before being renamed "Chernobyl". Tuning it to F Major made it sound happier. It was renamed again to "Nunavut Matters", then "Nunavut", then "Arctic" at the last minute. Other names considered included "North Pole" and "Aurora Borealis".
  • It is the third track to have a name referencing arctic places, the others being Siberia and Norilsk.
  • "Arctic" was also the name used for an unreleased track that was later used in the middle of Coronathletics.
  • It was originally going to be released in place of "Overclocked" last year before I decided it wasn't ready yet, and later "Not Mussel" before I decided Not Mussel sounded cooler to release.
  • Ironically, despite being ice-themed, it was released during a heatwave in my city Perth where temperatures reached 44°C (111.2°F) over the holiday period, making it the hottest Christmas on record!
  • Starting on October 3, 2017 but finished and mastered recently, it's my 34th finished track and 63rd release.

Every track of mine in 2021 has a quokka hidden in its cover art! Can you see it in this one? This quokka is a bit more easier to find than the other ones!
